FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers for owner operators. More questions are on the way.
How much do Bilbo owner operators make?
Our owner operators average $2,000 to $3,000 net per week after expenses. Some earn more, but everything is performance based.
What is the pay percentage?
69% of the load with a Bilbo trailer, or 76% with your own trailer. 100% of loads pay a fuel surcharge.
How many miles and loads per week?
1,800–2,000 average miles and about 5 loads per week, with home weekends.
How and when am I paid?
Settlements are paid weekly by direct deposit.
Where do you hire?
We contract owner operators based in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and New Mexico.
Who typically leases on to Bilbo?
We typically get and retain drivers who have personal or family obligations to get back to. They are looking for consistent, steady contract freight that feels more like a job than a lifestyle.
Does Bilbo tarp?
We do take tarp loads and have many different options for acquiring any required equipment. The vast majority of loads are what our drivers call “tarp lite”: 90% of tarp loads are tarped for you at the shipper, but we are still required to un-tarp at delivery.
Where is orientation held?
Orientation is held at our headquarters in Irving, TX. We typically get you in on Monday morning and have you loaded Wednesday morning, depending on your experience and situation.
